This might be my favourite title in the series so far. Princess Magnolia sets off to a science fair. While she is there a monster pops out of a volcano. She changes into the Princess in Black and together with the Princess in Blankets, they attempt to subdue the monster who is only looking for a home and something to eat. Eventually the two heroes and three other Princesses band together to take it where it can live.
I like the science focus here, but I love that these princesses work together to find a solution that works for everyone, including the monster. The ending, that suggests that all princesses can be heroes, is the best!

Another fun adventure for our Princess. I really appreciated how she showed up with a loser project and was actually grateful for the monster who smooshed it after she saw all the hard work and presentations that all her friends were delivering. So it had fun monster adventure, relatable chagrin, and cool science!

Also, it came in very handy for an emergency birthday party when I forgot an occasion with a neighbor. She loved it and boy did I look good!

I love these books so much - they're perfect early readers for 4-7 yr olds.

Five smart, adventurous and brave princesses battle a goo monster that has grown out of control at their local science fair. The Princess in Black is unexpectedly helped out by the mysterious arrival of the Princess in Blankets - who could she be?

And when the goo monster proves to be too big for two Princesses to control, Princesses Honeysuckle, Snapdragon & Orchid step in to help out. With the able assistance of the Goat Avenger, the 6 heroes are finally able to solve the goo monster problem.

Humour, spunk and a can-do attitude infuse this delightful chapter book...I can't wait for #7!

Definitely better. I liked the theme of cooperation and supporting each other, I liked that the team has apparently grown (I’m reading them out of order because they’re what I have), and I liked the ending. I liked that it shows girls doing science well and enjoying it.
