What WAS that? Well, it was very cool to look at. I can’t decide if the writing was interestingly meta or throwaway faux deep. But the visuals kind of override that.

Excellent ending. At the end of 26 it is hard to believe that it can all wrap up. The ending actually reminds me a bit of Paper Girls with the obvious difference being time travel/timelines vs multiverse. I was very satisfied with the ending and think they possibly even left the door open a smidgen for a follow-up series, but I would leave it just the way that it is.

I very much enjoyed Gideon Falls at the beginning, but I have to say that I am not a huge fan of the second half of the series. Although I preferred this volume to the precedent, it still feels kind of forced, it doesn’t flow as well as volumes 1-3.

The art is still greatly weird and definitely puts you out of your comfort zone, and Lemire is a great character writer, although his dialogues aren’t great in this book.

It might be because I’m not a huge horror fan, but I only liked this series, I didn’t love it. I’ll probably revisit it in a couple years, maybe reading all six volume in a row will help.

I enjoyed the earlier trades, and the art was amazing. But it seemed to rush to an ending with characters I wasn’t really invested in.

Fantastic art, but a confusing ending. Things got a bit too convoluted in the end and I was pretty lost. The premise of this series is excellent, and the writing/art team of Lemire and Sorrentino ensured it got its hooks into me early. But after making it to the end (and slowly seeing the plot spiral ever further into hard-to-follow strangeness) I can’t recommend plowing through this series. The story got too big and complicated for itself, and ended up kind of leaving behind the strong core of characters it had at the beginning.

I have no words—the ending makes so much sense for this. As much as I love happy endings, it just doesn’t make sense for this series to end that way. I really enjoyed the journey Gideon Falls took me on. I’m definitely come back to reread.

It was a fun ride, but this final volume didn't really do it for me. It wasn't quite the pay off I was hoping for.
