like,,,, OKAAAYYYY good for her!

4/30/24:

i’ve sat on this review for days now bc I didn’t really know if I wanted to expand it or not. I really enjoyed this. i loved the incredibly satirical tone of the writing and 100% feel like my enjoyment of it was influenced by the audiobook. the narrator, Stefanie Kay, did a wonderful job of conveying how sarcastic it really is. Picklesimer did a lovely job of really conveying Tiffany’s indifference to her life and the people around her. while some may consider the characters to be shallow, i think that was the point. Tiffany, our jaded 5th year Delta Gamma sorority sister, clearly didn’t care about any of the people around her. it’s all about clout for her, she just wanted the glory and honestly, good for her! one of the critiques i’ve seen for this book is that Tiffany’s actions really didn’t mean much for society as a whole and like, obviously? she didn’t care about changing the world, she just wanted to get off lmao. male serial killers rarely ever need a reason, why should she? overall, this was just good fun. i would recommend if you’re looking for a good ole unserious man killer book. i especially recommend the audiobook if you do decide to pick this up!! truly makes it more fun!

Camp? check!
Satire? check!!
Bloody? check!!!
Sexy? Slightly!

This book was a fun short read! It was funny, satirical, bloody, a little gory/gross, very campy, and just a nice time. It’s prime dark comedy. It's like if Patrick in American Psycho was a woman named Tiffany who operated on vibes and vibes alone. I found myself repeatedly being grossed out and thinking wtf multiple times.

Tiffany is a fifth-year student at a Los Angeles college in sorority she doesn't seem to really want to be in and is skating through life because of how rich she is. She had an ED which quickly turned into having a craving for red meat and weight lifting. She had a dysfunctional family who she hates and grew up seeing not so nice things happen in her house. Because of all of this she has this heir of "I'm untouchable" which seems to really work out for her throughout the book.

She doesn't have a lot of redeeming qualities if any and I think the one that stands out the most is being very empathetic towards her roommate (who she says she hates often) after she is r*ped. I found myself being alright with this though because if she had redeeming qualities it wouldn't have been as great a story to me. Tiffany is living in her own world and whatever she wants goes and I honestly love that for her. She’s terrifying, mean, and gorgeous.

I highly enjoyed the turning of the tables the author when the whole vibes of the kills was just "Oh, he had it coming!" What a nice reversal there huh men? I really enjoyed the ending that I will not spoil, but will say just imagine Weird Barbie for a mental image! Haha!

I really recommend this is you were a fan of American Psycho and if you enjoy a campy, bloody, good time!

This was entertaining but I definitely thought it was going to have more feminist notes. Instead this was full of girl on girl hate, eating disorders, and murders for no reason.

Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss!
This book was right up my alley in terms of entertainment! It had so many elements of books I have liked in the past, like American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis and Boy Parts by Eliza Clark. Sometimes it is just really fun to watch an absolutely unhinged person do crazy things. I also liked the element of Tiffany being the "perfect" girl on the outside, and using that to her advantage. It is basically like weaponized femininity. I loved how she got such a god complex throughout, really thinking that she is untouchable. And the narrative supports this, because she
doesn't even come close to being caught once.
I loved how gory it was, and the ending was unexpected in a good way. Also screw like every guy in this book. Honestly the men in this book are portrayed as so awful that the reader starts to be on Tiffany's side. I also just love how shallow she is throughout the entire book. The part about her hiding makeup around Weston's house and setting alarms to wake up early so she can get ready before he gets up was so bonkers but fit with her character completely.
Listened to on Libby.
