I felt like this book flowed well as a continuation of the first. Oraya had a lot of emotions, trauma and things to work through while trying to survive . I definitely felt like she came into her own and gave off some major bad b energy at the end. Raihn- while I was irritated with him at times ( for the obvious subterfuge) but his constant belief in his lady and his patience with her as far as her not being able to deal with emotions made me love him even more. Overall an excellent continuation and conclusion to the duet.
oraya and raihn. my loves!!! I loved watching them find their way back to each other even if it felt a tad drawn out at times. also a slight overuse of “there she is” but we survived.
this series reaffirms my love of series of interconnected duologies. I love knowing the overarching plot will continue but my loves will be safe now (hopefully lol). it does suck we don’t get to see their full happily ever after for 4 more books but my stress is significantly decreased so that’s a win in my book. so so excited to follow mische’s story next

What a great sequel to the debut of this series! I thoroughly enjoyed watching the two main characters grow, and see connections forming for the next books In the series. I didn’t love it as much as the first one, but still a solid 4 star read!
