I loved this book so much. Was very cute. Loved the romance ark of Charlie and Mack. Their character develop throughout the book was amazing and I was here for it! Loved seeing Charlie come into her as a business owner and owning her shit. You go boss girl!!! Mack's growth as an author and learning to develop a healthy relationship with others was great to see too. Also love that she finally talk to her mother about her truma. Loved how well written not only the main characters where but also the other characters within this book. I didn't feel like the other side characters where 1 dimensional. This book had me hooked and may or may not have kept me past my bed time. Also just a side not, really love the consent in the spicy bits. I thought I was so refreshing to see Mack check in with Charlie and ask his she felt comfortable with what was happening

Charlie runs a failing coffee shop in Seattle. One day, a new customer walks in, captivating her. But is Mack everything she seems?

Mack is a bestselling author with writer's block. She runs away from New York to her parents' house in Seattle to find some inspiration. The last thing she expected when she walked into Sugar Mugs was to fall in love.

I absolutely loved this book. The chapters alternate between Charlie and Mack, each pushing the story forward. They are so well written that I was absolutely captivated. The story is joyful and filled with love, from Charlie and her best friend Ben; Charlie and her favourite customers; Mack and her parents; and obviously Charlie and Mack.

One small thing bugging me - why did Mack feel like she recognises Rene?!

I can't wait to read more from Dana Hawkins.
