This is a collection of some of the pep talks that Lin uploads on his Twitter twice in a day; one in the morning and one at night. He collected some of those tweets, in what he also considers as poetry, sayings and aphorisms. The collection are all illustrated by Jonny Sun. •

I first became aware of Lin's tweets from Twitter where some of my friends RT'd his greetings. Some put a smile on my face, some brought me the necessary energy to get me through the day, and some put me at ease at the end of a really disastrous day. Then I heard that the some of those tweets are going to be put into a book and boy, was I glad and happy. •

Whether you see this as a collection of poetry, or a self-help book, or if you're going to use it as a pick me up in which you open it at random to see what words of encouragement will be flying to you on that day or night, it is your choice to make. What I can tell you, this is one of my best buy of 2019. •

The first time I read the book, I read it from front to back, noting down the pages in which I love the most. Later on, I will use this like a magic 8 ball. In the morning before work, after work when everything feels so bleak, or whenever I feel like everything and everyone is being difficult, I go consult the random page and see the words worked its magic. •

You don't have to understand poetry or to have to be in a foul mood to consider this book. This is a book that I think you can enjoy at any given moment of your life. Totes recommend this. •

Enjoyed it from beginning to end.
This also fell into my personal book challenge of reading genres I don't normally pay attention to.

Very cute book to read with amazing illustrations. Finished in one sitting. Probably would've been better to read each insert during the respective times of day to stretch out the reading. Either way, uplifting pep talks

Nothing wrong with it, it was really cute. Would make a good coffee table book, some of the phrases were cute enough to take a picture of. But overall, I'm not rushing to own a copy or pick it up again, it's good for what it is but feels like scrolling through inspirational Instagram quotes.

Miranda needed these pep talks, but so did we. I’m glad he decided to Tweet them and then compile them in this book.

Not every pep talk was one I loved, ya know?
