This was the equivalent of listening to Johnny cash’s Hurt 27 times in row

I only enjoyed a small handful of these. Salt. Dearly. Blackberries.

Giving this one a middle-of-the-road rating, since it's been so long since I read poetry.  The last time I read poetry, it was all about sad things.  "Dearly" left me with the same feeling:
the only bright point seemed to be the very last poem with that glimmer of hope.

Me, it’s the heart:
that’s the part lacking.
I used to want one:
a dainty cushion of red silk
dangling from a blood ribbon,
fit for sticking pins in.
But I’ve changed my mind.
Hearts hurt.
