The character names were easier to follow than Mill House, but the twist was not nearly as good. I had a feeling it was that person so I wasnt like wow what a good mystery twist. Overall kinda disappointing after reading and loving Mill House.

Kind of boring, but the way the person did the murders was interesting, though I'm not sure it was super believable.
it was really interesting that in the end the murders were actually quite sloppy, but seemed somewhat intelligent as they were happening.

Also I kind of hate the inciting event. I wish the author had made it a bit more obvious as to if the students were pressuring the girl to drink or if it was just an accident because it's painted as just an accident which makes the motive make less sense and I prefer mysteries where there is a more solid motive.

I initially gave this a four and throughout today my mind kept creeping back to this book. The story is simple. The delivery isn’t fancy(this could just be a result of the book being translated from Japanese to English). The author sets up the ending and sticks the landing. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery!

The story was enjoyable overall, though it felt like it sometimes dragged because of the characters expositioning at each other. Especially during the segments on the main land.

After it was explained how the murderer did it, and why, I honestly felt most sympathetic for him in this book. The connection between the prologue and epilogue was a nice ribbon to tie the story up.

I'm not sure I'll read another House Murders, but this wasn't bad.
