there is a scene where Thiago attempts to rape Karou. He is not successful but the struggle between them is described in detail. The scene occurs shortly after Karou helps Mik & Zuzanna escape. If you want to skip it entirely go to the next chapter once Ten comes to Karou’s room and tells her Thiago wants to see her at the pit.

THE WAY THE ENDING HAD MY DROP TIME AND TIME AGAIN. I can tell already this series will be one I love and appreciate for a long time truly. And I will be diving almost straight into the final one. 

I felt turmultuous as the back and forth between Akiva and karou and the angels and chimera but I still wasn’t ready for the end and cannot wait to see where they’ll take us.

2023: 4 stars. I liked this a lot better than the first, for my second read. I just enjoyed seeing the war/politics/double crossing/intrigue, so much more interesting.
