A lovely, lovely book, if you enjoy fairy tales. The audiobook version includes some great explanations about the book from the author and he also reads the book. Recommended!

This was delightfully written and so enjoyable to read. And so unique. I sometimes forget just how much I love reading Neil Gaiman's works until I read another one. Eventually I'll read all of his books, but the slow trek through his backlog makes me happy.
I might change that later.. I just made the mistake of seeing the movie first

This is more of a short story in my opinion clocking in at 6 hours for an audio book
Keeping in that theme our character development could have been stronger.
I freaking loved this whimsical tale of the faerie world and all of its magic.
A love story where a boy goes to get a fallen star to appease his love and the adventure along the way.
Nothing is as it appears to be.
I’ll be adding more of his novels to my read list.

It’s not hard to own something. Or everything. You just have to know that it’s yours, and then be willing to let it go.
I have a sneaky feeling that perhaps I wouldn’t have enjoyed this book as much if I hadn’t seen the (absolutely perfect) movie adaptation first. But I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless, so there ya go
