2.5/5. Felt very meh, and Alessandro isn't very engaging. Rounded up to a 3 for the little tidbit of werewolf lore.

Well that was an interesting little story. Sandy is either gay or BI and was knight Templar. Werejackals? How curious.

Well, this was a disappointment. It was boring as boring can be. :( I also didn't have a clue what was going on for most of the book. Cat mummies? Real mummies? Suddenly battles and Templars and what not?

I found the background story on Alexia's father interesting, although it was a fairly short short story. Worth a quick read if you like to know back story, but more along the lines of a "Deleted Scene" on a dvd than anything else.

Alexia's father was indeed a nasty piece of work but as witty as Alexia herself...Of course he met her mother in a not-quite-galavant way but at least I got to satisfy mh curiosity :D

Curses! Like all Gail Carriger books - it was over too quickly. Worse than usual - it was a just an amuse bouche of a tale. A tasty little mouthful.
More, Ms. Carriger! We reader-fans are insatiable.
