I’ve read this story at least three times now (maybe four) and still love it. I catch something new every time. If you’re a fan of Gail Carriger, this is a must read! (It centers on Alexia’s father in his younger days.)

Me he llevado un pequeño chasco. Hacía mucho que no leía nada de Gail Carriger y tenía muchas ganas, y esto me ha sabido a poco. A muy poco. Es poco más que un par de bocetos sobre un personaje prometedor: el padre de Alexia.

Fun, but in a different way to the main PP books. Alessandro is morally grey, much more so than his pragmatic but generally well-meaning daughter, so he's harder to root for but still interesting to read about.

Fun little short about Alexia’s father set in Egypt. Not much to this but it’s a fun little glimpse into Mr Tarabotti’s life and it was definitely fun seeing Floote as a younger man.

Decent intro, sets the tone, and prepares us for the paranormals.
