When I think of Ray Bradbury I think of There Will Come Soft Rains, when I think of There Will Come Soft Rains I think of grief. The automated house dutifully carries out its functions paying no mind to any inhabitants. As with several of Bradbury's works there is a large sense of isolation paired with a fear of technology, justified or not.
The house is seemingly the only thing still functioning, the people are gone, and aside from a brief mention of wildlife being scared off by the house's functions, there is a dog

. In the end only one wall remains from the house, with one voice to repeat the date over and over.
Graphic: Fire/Fire injury and Animal death
Minor: Grief
