August 2019 - bright illustrations, an animal on each spread with a noise to make, and pages with varied edges to make them easier to turn. Eleanor loves all the sounds and enjoys flipping back and forth between the pictures. The edges might make the book easier for a toddler to manipulate, but a 9 month old definitely still needs someone to separate them before she can grasp them. I'm curious to see how the pages hold up to library use - we were only the 2nd checkout.
