Once again, it's a 5-star format with 1-star content/plot.

I loved the visual representation of relationships and the nonlinearity of people and their intersections. That being said, nothing particularly happened. It read more as an illuminated memoir than an piece of art. There were glimmers of a start of a story about displacement and war, but never touched directly. (And if the point was how indirect war and displacement affects people and relationships, that still could've been done more completely.) It was a super cool format, I just wish a little more was done with it.

We stand latin writers.

A look at absence and emptiness through prose and drawings. I loved the use of drawings throughout the book to help tell the story. I was a bit confused about the plot at various points throughout, but in other places the drawings added a really unique element to the story. Overall, I loved this and would like to read it again one day. I think this is one that could use multiple reads to fully take in all that the book has to offer.

I also loved the translation note at the end. It shows what's involved in any translation process, but also the translation of a book that has unique elements such as this one.
