Just wow.... I received a copy of this book completely by chance, one of those things that just is meant to be.

I started this book without reading the synopsis or really knowing what I was getting myself into, and this book took hold of me from page one. The fast paced intro diving right into action and not letting up was a welcome change from the meandering of my last few reads.

Bookception how does a person find them selves caring so much for characters who are from a book that only exists within the book you are reading. It was so easy to understand why Connie and Adelle loved the book being someone who deeply loves Pride and Prejudice.

Following their story and seeing them seemingly being able to dive into the story they have fawned over for years was beautiful even if everything had gone horribly wrong. Moira though not the true villain of the story plays her part so well. taking you from a love affair to a pure hatred right along side both girls.

Masterfully written and perfect for anyone who loves gothic horror and wants to feel completely immersed in the fear and hope that prevails through out, I did not think I would find so many characters to feel passionate about in a single book. Hoping beyond all hope that they will find their happy endings only to have the rug pulled out from under you in a way that most aspire to reach, it was beautiful.

I wanted to be mad at the ending but it was so well done that it was beyond inspiring.

For me this entire book could be summed up as Cabin in the Woods as an Isekai for the next Nerdy Witchy Generation.

Definitely a YA novel, I found it more confusing the longer it went. And that goes for the ending too. I wouldn’t say it made for a satisfying ending.

Combination of narrator and writing. Not the sort of YA that a full adult can enjoy

Not for me. Boring.

Don’t like the writing style. There’s to much telling you everything rather than showing. It sometimes reads like a whole stream of consciousness despite not being in first person.
