In this 2nd volume of this series the art was even more off-putting because we alternate between Jae Lee's incredibly unique style and at least two other artists (the credits are unclear as they don't list artist everytime but rather breakdowns, penciller, etc. and I don't know all the differences in comic book land). And while the other artists can play off each other just fine, with Jae Lee's very surrealist style it just doesn't flow. Additionally the first artist's issue/section has most of this panels laid out sideways and this does away after his part is done. I think he used the sideways orientation well, but it just adds another harsh difference in art across the novel.

I was also pretty disappointed with the story. There isn't much continuity from the first volume which had the entire premise of "Darkseid is coming" and Darkseid doesn't even show here. Instead we have a weird plot where Superman and Batman are placed in a video game to fight each other, followed by a Warworld plot of Superman family and Batfamily fighting in this tournament or something.... Powergirl and Huntress show up which I was excited for but they are from another Earth so it was just confusing again. I think to read this series I need a better understand of DC continuity, or at least the New 52 continuity. Needless to say I was just lost.
