An amazing tribute, memorial, and prayer for the victims and families of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. Comic writer Marc Andreyko organized the graphic novel and managed to bring together some of the best names in comics, from Phil Jimenez to Dan Didio to Marguerite Bennett and starring characters from D.C., Archie, and more. Published by IDW with assistance from DC, this is a beautifully and powerfully illustrated and written book. I highly recommend this, even if you are not interested in comics. All proceeds go to assist families of victims and those injured in the shootings. My only complaint is that some of the stories are a little uneven in quality, which is bound to happen in an anthology of this diverse group of writers and illustrators. Some of the stories are frankly more helpful for straight people than LGBTIQ (in that it centers a straight narrative in dealing with LGBTIQ people), but many of the writers and artists are members of the LGBTIQ and Latinx community, and frankly, their stories are some of the best. Overall, a must read for comic fans and nonfans alike.

Like any collaboration like this, it is really a mixed bag. Some of the contributions fall flat, some aren't of interest to me (lots of super hero stuff, which I'm sure many will be into) but there are also some pieces that moved me to tears. Worth a read and a worthy cause.

Love is love

This is a wonderful collaboration of artists and writers supporting the victims of the Orlando Pulse shooting. The stories and art are as varied and diverse as the world they lift up. The connective theme is love. Love for it's own sake, love for it's own growth, love for every person.

Beautiful and touching, but a hard read. Gorgeous drawings, many insightful comments, but it can be painful, tearing every few pages, and I am sure for some, heavy cries.
