this was extremely miserable to read because everything went wrong but the drawings definitely got better AND we're finally getting some freaking answers

Chugging along. Another one down and a little bit further in the story. I am a little aggravated because after all of the essentially dumbluck that Hiccup has and falls into and it working out for him, it hasn't really happened for him in the last few books and it seems it will be for the rest of the books in the series. Trying to decide if I want to jump into the next one or if I need a break.

Still loving David Tennant

I am re-reading these, having already loved them on my own and now sharing them with my 8 year old. I knew I remembered absolutely loving this series, but I am finding the themes very timely and helpful in discussing difficult news now with my child. The issues of freedom as well as justice, slavery and oppression, doing what is right for the wrong reasons, or doing something that turns out wrong for all the right reasons, these things are always hard to learn but worth the learning.

It’s soooo good!  I laughed, I cried, I got scared, I ended with a anticipation and joy…I’m really loving this series, as read by David Tennant, who is BRILLIANT
