I’m not a literary analyst. We judge based on vibes and whether it made me want to cry, or actually brought out tears. 

I cried. I laughed. I felt all the feels. If I could give this more than 5 stars I’d do it in a heartbeat. Alfie and Finn have my whole heart forever and ever.

This book had way more action at times than the previous books which I enjoyed. It also ended up having the bulk of the character arcs, especially Finn and Lucas. 

The ending though, can one be happy and sad at the same time?

A great conclusion to the trilogy. Had a good ending, had an emotionally rough middle but that’s the point. It was satisfying to see it through but about halfway into the book it dragged a bit with a lot of despair, not sure what could have been done about that though as they went through multiple quests/tasks.

This was the perfect bittersweet ending to this trilogy.

I really enjoyed this series and this book. Starting with the stuff I didn't like, I wasn't a fan of the reliance on 'fate' and inevitable endings for some of the characters it felt a little too cheesy lol. But what I loved are the characters!! Alfie is my favorite, I love that he is sensitive and soft-hearted. I love his romance with Finn, they are a couple you want to root for! I also love Luka as a character. The pacing in this book really worked for me too, there was no slump or part where I was bored. It was pretty fast-paced and I felt like the story was just the right length. Overall I'm a fan of this trilogy and would love to read more from Maya Motayne!
