Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of this absolutely amazing book, in exchange for an honest review.
White Horse Black Nights was such a surprise, and not at all what I expected when I started. I felt like crying every time I had to put down this book to do that awful thing known as adulting. Sabine and Wolf's antics completely sucked me in, and I was there feeling every emotion alongside them. This book also has some of the most beautifully romantic quotes, that at times, I could almost feel my heart melting into a little puddle on the floor.
Sabine is such a likeable character. How could she not be when her special gift is speaking to animals. She is so sweet natured, but she is also brave and fierce, and will fight for her freedom even if she has to play dirty. Wolf is a bit of a broody, frustrated dude at first, but soon we see a softer more caring side to him.
The forbidden romance between these two is everything a romance loving heart could ever want. The slow burn, the chemistry...I loved it. We can see how the bond between them slowly strengthens, and how it is possible for a young maiden to fall for a savage hunter, because we are kind of falling in love too!!!
The lore behind WHBN is fully fledged and extremely interesting. We have sleeping fae gods, fantastical beasts, godkissed humans, raiders and a possible catastrophe looming if the gods awaken.
There are jolting revelations in the last chapters which significantly up the stakes. You can feel a sense of dread creaping closer with each word written towards the end.
I need the second book in my hands now!!! If you enjoy Fantasy Romance, add this to your tbr immediately.

"I must make her hate me, and I definitely can't tell her what's going on and come up with a plan for what to do WITH her. Her poor tiny sweet brain can't handle such things."
Right after he took her virginity too. Ugh. I HATE this trope

This is such a great book! I was amazingly lucky enough to win this book and a few others from an Instagram giveaway and it’s absolutely incredible. The writing style is descriptive and beautiful and makes it very easy to read and get pulled into the story.
The characters are incredible, I love Sabine’s strength and the female rage, I love the cunning that Rian shows and of course I’m a sucker for a growly strong brute like Wolf. It’s amazing book and I love the plot as well as the rich lore.
This first books sets up everything so nicely and I can’t wait to get the second one!
