While I’m a fan of A.H.’s work, I think this one just wasn’t for me. I was getting a bit annoyed with how consistent the “sorry, I know you hate me” statement was. When people say it out loud, it always feels like they’re fishing for compliments, and I was having a hard time getting past my personal feelings about it.

I prefer this to the love hypothesis. I really enjoyed learning about their dynamics within this book and found the overall plot entertaining. The only reason this isn’t rated higher is that there’s this huge miscommunication which was infuriating! But everything else was great.
