I was so excited for Ali's sophomore book, and guys it did not disappoint! I found myself very invested not only in the romance but even Bee's career- the obstacles she faced made me want to scream sometimes! This was full of funny moments, banter and bursting with quirky personality that makes these characters so likeable. You really start rooting for these two to get together, and I've never read about a male quite like Levi before, he's so sweet but not in the way that takes away from his hot-ness, lol. And there's a smidge more spice than in her debut

MISS ALI HAZELWWOOD YOU DID IT AGAIN!! This was such an anticipated read for me this year. As a girl who is not a part of the STEM community, reading about it with a dash of smut makes me so happy. Ali has a way of writing thats so witty and fun. Bee is an incredibly relatable character. And Levi Ward is the love of my life ie the scene after dinner with his family… can’t wait to read what Ali comes up with next!!

It would be fine. If it wasn’t just a regurgitated Love Hypothesis. Or if Hazelwood didn’t constantly reiterate how big and strong and manly and big and muscular and big and handsome and big Levi is. Or always talk of how teenie tiny Bee is. Or once again use the miscommunication trope for far longer than she should have.
But yeah.
Sure.

this was so fucking hard to read. i only finished it bcs my friends wanted my thoughts. it sucks really liking the love hypothesis, being excited for ali hazelwood’s next book, reading this one and being so disappointed. it’s literally the same book but in a different font. extremely predictable and cringy at times. i love hazelwood’s way of writing but i believe she needs to step out of her comfort zone and change it up a lot.
