Cute. It's nice to read about a widow instead of a really young girl with no experience in a historical novel.

I enjoyed this book while I was reading it and would have given it a 3.75-4 stars but every time I set it down, I felt no desire to pick it back up.
I will definitely try more of this author's work in the future though.

The fourth book in the Dukes Behaving Badly series, and Iām getting the impending feeling that there will not be enough books in this series to satisfy my need for more of these books. I adored the third book in the series, and I felt exactly the same about this one ā an absolutely marvellous read.
This one had the fun concept of Edwina, a widow from a previously typical society bad marriage, as the secretary to the Duke of Hadlow, who was gruff and blunt and completely logical at all times.
These two had great chemistry and I loved the way the story built to more between them slowly as their knowledge of each other built. There were some totally sweet moments along the way ā Michael and Gertrude were kind of adorable, and I like the way that animals have played a small supporting role in this series too.
I delighted in the way this book played out, and the way these two characters became partners and lovers and friends.
