The only reason its 4 instead of 5 stars is because it was kind of hard to get into because the world is so different and complex. The plot twists were so unexpected and I love them.

I am struggling to rate this. I read it after seeing it and Locke Lamora top nearly every fantasy TikTok bracket when it trended. The world building is absolutely incredible in detail and creativity - particularly the former. Unfortunately, while I appreciated this book, I just didn’t enjoy it that much. It’s not my style.
