Whole series is amazing. This one was great, but book two is by far my favorite of the series. If you like slice of life anime, you'll like this series of sapients just trying to live their lives.

- It was so interesting to have an entry centered on solely non-human characters! I believe that the only Wayfarer book that had parts where the POV was from non-human characters was The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, and they all had far shorter and more infrequent sections than the human members of the crew.
- I think Laru are my favourite species in the Wayfarers world. They sound so adorable from a human perspective...and kind of like muppets!
- One of my main (and only) issues with the Wayfarers was how xe/xyr pronouns are widely accepted and used, but the only trans or nonbinary characters, or characters who weren't solely male or female, were *biologically* that way. I'm glad that this book touched on how Tupo could end up being neither male or female or somewhere in between, and it's mentioned that Quelin can change their legal genders if their parents got it wrong.
- Will miss the Wayfarers world a lot! It's sad to think that there won't be any more new content, but this was an excellent addition to the series. Currently, my favourite book series overall!

Urgh Becky Chambers has done it again. It had everything I've come to love from her books and more. I loved the mix of characters in this one, especially with all the different species coming together and getting to learn so much about each of them. This was the perfect ending to the series.

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did (even though it's Becky Chambers). I mean come on, a handful of strangers get stuck at a space truck stop and have to hang out for a few days and deal with each other? But these characters (only one of whom appeared in a previous book) are a great mix, and watching them grow from being afraid of each other or disinterested to profoundly affected by the perspectives they give each other over those few days... it's really well done.
