Okay. First book since getting through Handmaiden's Tale, seriously, good book. So glad when I went to the library they didn't have Alias Grace.

a classic atwood dystopia with a less than believable ending. engaging, creepy, but i wish there has been a different ending.

Sometimes felt like the characters weren't fully believable, like no one would act on those motivations, but in true Atwood style she brings it all home at the end and makes it very real. Thought provoking on several themes and didn't go where I was expecting to.

Boy howdy, this book. What to say? Every character was unlikable for some reason or another. There's a lot of fixation on sex that I prefer to not spend that much time reading about. There's so really super messed up stuff in here and the whole thing made me feel pretty sick to my stomach. However, I'd venture to say that all of this was... kind of the whole point. It's well written and a lot of the more sci-fi style elements are interesting and well thought out. It's a bit gross and twisted for me to have truly enjoyed it, however.
