Atwood never misses.
A great commentary on free will, and on desires of the human mind.
While I was totally gripped and wanted to see what happened with Stan and Charmaine, I did find this to be one of the weaker books I've read by Atwood.

Clearly an Atwood book - not of the caliber of The Handmaid's Tale, but an interesting warning, nonetheless. We're a pretty weird species, human beings.

It pains me to give a book by Margaret Atwood two stars, except that I still had fun reading it, flying through it over a couple of evenings. This book lacks the art that I love in her work, and the ending was a total mess -- but it seemed like she must have had fun writing it. Perhaps I'd have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read it at the same time I'm teaching The Handmaid's Tale, because the contrast between this novel and Atwood at her best was just too obvious.

this was a little insane but i still liked it

I saw someone call this book “a silly mess” and I can’t agree more. The concept is what interested me and kept me waiting around for the whole work to make sense, but overall this book was just a collections of chapters that made me think “what did I just read?”

Viihdyttävä, jännittävä ja hyvin rakennettu maailma. Attwood kuvaa erinomaisesti julmaa ihmisluontoa ja dystopista, ahnetta ja late-late stage kapitalismista kärsivää maailmaa. Valitettavasti en muodostanut päähenkilöihin minkäänlaista tunnesidettä, joten en hirveästi välittänyt mitä heille tapahtui.

I was engaged the whole time, and the story was exciting g, but overall found the development and ending a little lacking. Left me wondering what the point was, a bit

An engaging and original story, but lacks Atwood's characteristic artistic rendering of the English (and sometimes some other) language.
