This is not my usual go to in books but I was blown away by how much I loved it. I was lost in this book for hours! It instantly pulled me in and I never once was bored. The plot twists were amazing and I was completely shocked at some of them. I laughed out loud and even slammed the book shut a few times just to cope with what I had read. I absolutely love the characters. I’m so mad that I have to wait for the next book because I want to read it now! I will definitely be continuing this series. 10/10 loved this book! Quite possibly my favorite book that I’ve read this year so far!
Maybe the bar was too high in my head but wow that was disappointing. Very little world building. Not a lot of strategy put into the plot. It felt like a lot of things suddenly pop up, and it’s just supposed to make sense to a reader with no context. It felt very amateur.

Amazing start to what seems to be a thrill ride of a series!! Immediately drawn into the world the characters and the steamy romance. The only thing that would make this better, would be dragons!
Yeah I get the “this was written by AI” rumors cause it def felt like it. I was honestly bored reading this and uninspired by the predictable, but also highly uncharacteristically written, main characters. Meh.
