Nina Riggs authors the book The Bright Hour about how to love all of the days, even the bad ones. Nina shares on topics of motherhood, marriage, friendship, loss, memories, and her medical journey with cancer.

This book was stunning, powerful, relatable and heartbreaking. I had to read this one slowly as the medical content is obviously heavy and I am personally surrounded by a lot of medical issues in my own life. I find it comforting in a way that although I do not have the same illness as the author, the commonalities and internal and external struggles that all illnesses face are uniting in a way, makes one feel less alone when you read the same struggles and feelings.

Nina Riggs’ memoir is one I highly recommend to read. A great reflection on life. So poetic in a sense. Wonderful book.
