I have been waiting so long to read this series. I wanted to make sure I read Club Destiny first. You don't have to read CD to understand this series but I have a thing about making sure I read books that connect and characters carry over...weird I know. Anyway Nicole Edwards definitely did not disappoint! The Walker men are a force to be reckoned with. The hot and steamy m/f/m scenes and the sexual tension radiating off of Kaleb were so HOT! Such a great read now onto Zane to see what happens next!!
OMG!!!!!!!!!! I loved this book. many times i had to stop because of all the blushing..lol..between all the kinky fuckery and threesomes...wow!! kaleb sure turned Zoey out..lol..loved it though!! i cant wait to for Zane's book to see what happened to him. I can see him and V becoming couple and I want to learn more about her too. Overall, I loved this book!
I think I made the mistake of reading Zane's (#2) story first. This one wasn't near as entertaining, to me.
a little too short for me. we didn't get to see them as friends long enough before they became a couple, and we didn't get to see them long enough before the proposal. but generally, i liked it, and it is SUPER hot.
Ok, so this one sort of fell flat for me. I wanted to love it... Really I did. This is one of those books that everyone else loves but you just don't . I really hate when that happens. I read so many good reviews about this book that I was super excited to start it. As I was reading, I just kept thinking 'something's going to happen' and it never did.
The thing is, the story is not bad. It's just not for me. I doubt I'll read the next one... Zane's story. There was lots of sex, but that's it. I didn't think it was hot or exciting.
I gave this book 3 stars because like I said, it wasn't a bad book, it just wasn't for me. :(

Audible Escape. Narration 2 stars. Story 2.5 rounded to 3.
The blurb (on Audible) doesn’t really alert new to the genre readers ~ this is erotica. Anyone shocked by the sex, the amount of sex, and the MFM components doesn’t know Nicole Edwards.
I’m not sure this would count as a spin-off of the “Club Destiny” series, but those characters are in here for a tiny bit. You don’t have to have read/listened to those books to get it and there’s no “updates” on CD folks enough to be meaningful.
Zoe (29) & Kaleb (31/32?) grew up in the same small town (near Austin) and have been good friends. Kaleb is one of 7 brothers who help run several family businesses. Zoe owns her own house cleaning business. Zoe is now divorced and Kaleb broke off an engagement and the time is right for them to get together.
I’m going to get my comments on narrator Eliza Grace out of the way, because I think her voice/performance impacted this beyond just a lack of skill. She sounds very, very young. Like barely in high school young. Beyond her often stilted reading (not performing), she has no range. All her characters sound nearly identical. Male & female. Her sex scenes were cringeworthy ~ sounding like two prepubescents having very adult sex. I had to skip them because it was so unnerving. Her portrayal of Zoe also ruined any attempt Edwards made in depicting Zoe as a mature/responsible/capable adult.
I gave the performance 2 stars only because Freddie Bates was great. Frankly, I wish he’d just have recorded the whole thing despite my usual preference for dual narrators.
I’m trying to give Edwards the benefit of the doubt that this story wasn’t as immature and underdeveloped as it came across, but all of it can’t be laid at the feet of a poor narrator. Kaleb’s ex-fiancé is a plot device that exists for one awkward and out of place scene. Zoe’s ex-husband drama has a little more traction, but it still felt sort of forced.
Frankly I was surprised to see the Club Destiny folks show up because as I was listening this felt like an earlier work in terms of Edwards honing her craft. Again, I’m not sure how much Grace impacted that.
The sex scenes are HOT and there’s a lot of them. There’s enough world building and plot that they don’t get overly tedious, which is nice.
Overall, I didn’t hate it. It’s part of Audible Escape. And since Eliza Grace isn’t narrating the rest of the series (except a novella I’ll probably skip), I’m going to continue with Zane.

I half rented this book as a joke, but as I listened, it actually turned out to be pretty decent erotic fiction. Sure, some of the language is redundant and the character descriptions are a bit overdone. Some of the "kinky" and "animalistic" sex is tame, but Edwards does a great job with giving you variety and keeping things interesting. I even liked the semblance of a plot she created around the sex scenes. I don't things this needed to be a series, but I'm curious to see what the other brothers' tales have in store.
After reading Curtis which was amazing, I can't help but feel something was missing in this book, I think it was the connection between the two main characters, towards the end of the book, they told each other that they loved each other, but I just wasn't feeling it. The sex scenes were nothing special and I've read books like this before, so nothing new there, but saying that I do want to read a few more books especially Travis's book and Ethan's.
