This was fine. I really wish we didn't have any PoV from Edison. It should've been just Maude and her sister's journal. It would've been a much stronger book.

Has some interesting historical details about a few topics such as searches for missing ships in the arctic. I never felt connected to any of the characters as much as I'd have l liked, they had a two dimensional feel to them with a few of them which would have benefited the book to know more about. Slightly unsatisfactory feeling to the whole book.
