Demons as good as they can be fighting for their lives from the Hunters. It was exciting and had me fully engaged in the story. I was ready to move on to the next book, till the last two chapters. What a stupid drop the ball ending, unbelievably horrible.

I think this may be my favorite of the Lords of the Underworld series, until I get to Gideon's that is. Sabin was a great character, as was Gwen. I didn't even have an issue with the "main" female character names this time!
The plot has definitely thickened and I'm looking forward to reading the next one!

How is it possible that four books in, I'm still yearning for more? I don't tend to see through most series (particularly serial romances) to the end, but I just can't get enough of these tortured heroes. While Sabin & Gwen weren't my favourite pairing, I enjoyed the development of all platonic relationships SO MUCH in this instalment; the stakes were also deliciously amped up & all the building sub-plots (particularly Aeron's & Gideon's & Amun's––um, all of them, really) were so great. I'm seriously floored by Showalter's ability to have you begging for more, and giving you more than more. In other words, these books just keep getting better and better.

I started out thinking this book wasn't going to be as good as the previous ones and, well, it wasn't my favorite but neither was it bad. I liked Sabin and Gwen's story a lot. It was interesting to see them work past all the roadblocks each had.
Still a fan of Anya and Lucien though. They stole my heart.
Aaron is next <3

This series is kind of addictive. Seriously, I hate that I have to wait for the next book to be available from my library. It feels like torture. Anyway, Gwen and Sabin make a great couple and it was interesting to watch as Gwen's nature subdued the demon of Doubt within Sabin. I have to say though, I am still most looking forward to Torin's story. I really want him to have a happy ending. Oh, and Paris. I really feel bad for the guy.

This was a very entertaining book. Gwen was a great character and she made an amazing partner for Sabin.

This was a very good story. I liked Gwen and Sabin...even though they both had personality traits in the beginning that I wasn't exactly thrilled with. The story was pretty good and did well at keeping me engaged.

Another action packed and emotional installment in this addictive series!

This is a good story, although I didn't love it as much as the previous books I still enjoyed reading it and the series as a whole has become one of my favourites.

I don't think that this book can be read without having read the previous ones. The background story arc (main threat) is still ongoing as well as giving us some teaser romantic sub-plots to look forward to in future books.

I find Ms Showalter's writing style very easy to read and enjoy the twists, turns, action and passion that she fills her stories with. I will be downloading book 5 - The Darkest Passion - in this addictive series.

This has to be my fave book by far of this series, So many mythical creatures come to the forefront as both sides build their armies....

Paris did my head in in this though, he really does seem the most pointless lord of the underworld so far...... Hopefully his story will change my mind but so far he's as annoying as a gnat.

Sabin and Gwen sizzled in this edition together, from the moment he rescued her from being an incubator to the moment she harnesses her powers, the whole mistrust issues throughout and words with hidden meaning's on both parts trying to guard themselves annoyed me (the story would not have been as interesting if they just came out with declarations of love) but i still wanted to bang their heads together.

The harpy sisters are a great new addition and i like how we are slowly getting to see all the lords way of thinking and loyalties.

The story was brilliant written fantastically cant wait until next book.
