The beginning was a little like groundhogs day with the same information being repeated, but overall a great book. The last few chapters were a roller coaster of emotions

This book had me from the first sentence. There was no other option than to get comfortable and read it in one sitting. I already wish I could read it again for the first time.  Definitely not an over hyped book, this lived up to all of the praise and more.

The beginning definitely has a mild hunger games vibe, but don’t let that deter you. It very quickly morphs into its own unique thing.

I thought keeping track of 6 curses would be overwhelming, but the writing was so descriptive you could easily keep track through out the story.  It’s a bit slow in the beginning, but the middle & end were pages turners. Twists and turns - deception. Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book, and totally got the hunger game vibes that everyone has been talking about. I like the magic system, and the fantasy elements. I’m team Grimm, I love me a morally grey mmc. Oro almost seems to good to be true. I saw part of the ending coming, but there was another part that blew my mind, but made so many things make more sense. I’m interested to see where the story goes in Nightbane, as I have heard it is better than Lightlark.

What is up with the one star reviews????? Idk I loved this book, y’all hear the word “games” in a book and immediately think hunger games, this was not at all like the hunger games. This shit had me gasping, the plot twists!!!! WOW ok i cannot wait to read the second one!!!
