A lot of fun, after the book finally gets going and picks up some narrative speed (2-300 pages in.) The writing is not the book's strongest point, but it's serviceable and allows the plot and worldbuilding to go by. I've always enjoyed Peter F Hamilton's books and this was no exception.

Pick your poison, an authoritarian government or genocidal aliens? Not the fun read I was looking for.

Spectacular. Even when you sorta know how it's going turn out because some of the core characters are just never wrong about anything, it's still a thrilling read. The Commonwealth is my favorite SF universe and I can't wait for more.

The is was great conclusion to the series and the commonwealth as a whole. It was so nice to be out of the void and its' fantasy elements that we had to endure during the void trilogy. Seem to be much back to for for PFH!

Great read for epic sci fi fans

Great story, with thrilling action and highly imanigative technologies spanning multiple diverse cultures and worlds :)
Would recommend to read previous books in the Commonwealth universe for even more fulfilment.

I had bounced pretty hard off of the previous book in this series, so I went in with low expectations. Luckily the book cleared those expectations and gave a perfectly fine story set in a world that I have enjoyed over many of Hamilton's books.

This book does make me hope that Hamilton considers making a new series unrelated to these characters as they have been lovely but it seems as if he's starting to hit some walls with both them and stories to tell in these worlds.
