An absolutely beautiful book with an engrossing story. Can't wait for the next book.
If you look at this and don't think 'steampunk Miyazaki', well.
A vivid steampunk graphic novel with wonderful illustrations, although the middling rating is due to poor formatting, in my opinion. The size of a picture book, but meant for middle graders and above is problematic to say the least.
This was interesting enough to make me look up when the next one is going to be published in US.

Man, I don't want to have to wait for the sequel! what a beautiful and exciting opening to this steampunk adventure.
Fans of steampunk and alternate history will probably enjoy this beautiful book. The illustration is amazing and the entire look and feel of the story seems like it would make a great Miyazaki film. (Some of the character designs of reminiscent of that.) Although it says the next volume, "The Moon-King" will end the series, I'd love to have more!
