It’s cute! It’s a bunch of silly 12 page stories and each one teams up a member of the X-Men with an Avenger. My favorites were Black Panther & Storm, Kitty and Iron Man, and a very gay Rogue + Black Widow story.

Random matchups of an Avenger and an X-Men. Definite potential. But the intros are stupid and some of the stories are too. The one with Captain America, Bucky and Cable was pretty good though. And the one with Wolverine and Hulk. But for the Black Widow and Rogue story, the art was just awful and the writing almost as bad. It was good to see Kitty Pryde anytime but her bit with Tony Stark was pretty dumb and the art worse. Ah well I guess it could have been worse.

Fun and quirky. Some were better than others - the Scarlet Witch one was creepy/oversexualized.

This may just have gotten me to be a monthly Marvel reader again.

With having become curious about Marvel again after a bit of an absence, this book seemed like a nice little cross section of the Marvel Universe. It was as absolute blast to read.

It was 12 little standalone one-off stories. It was 12 little team-ups between an X-Man and an Avenger. It was stories by the likes of writers like Dan Slott and Peter David, artists like Dale Keown and Chris Bachalo.

Super fun. I think I'm on board for the long haul.

*- I read this book as digitally downloaded single issues of A+X #s 1-6.
