Liked a lot! I also really liked his first one: vicarage is a great setting for cosy crime. Interesting cast of characters introduced that complements the returning ones quite well - and the mystery was really interesting too. Will def pick up the third once it comes out!

Although I found the first few chapters agonisingly slow, I ended up enjoying this book quite a bit. I enjoyed the characterisation and how the author delves into the live  of a small town in the 80s. 
However, the murder mystery aspect of the book was very obvious and seemed to occur almost as a second thought.
