DNF at 50%. The cover and title really convinced me that this would be a lighthearted read. It’s not. I’m just not in the mood to read about this much tension between the sisters, and I really tried to get into this.
There is barely a possibility of romance or “happily ever after” hinted at here. Sure, I’m sure the sisters will somehow patch things up by the end. But Pearl is annoying as hell. “I know I’ve never planned a wedding start to finish ever but let me do this possibly most important wedding we’ve ever had because I think I deserve it or I’ll leave.” I don’t know if she’s supposed to be that entitled or the author thinks this is actually a good way to create drama, but I’m not sticking around to find out.
