My least favorite of the trilogy - too intricately wound up with pure theological themes (versus the social morality that seemed to dominate the earlier verses).

I really enjoyed Inferno, struggled to get through Purgatorio, and couldn't force myself to finish Paradiso.

Interesting to see Dante's speculation on the structure of heaven, written unfailingly in pleasing rhythm, but tedious for the non-devout. Moments of emotion (such as the last of Beatrice, and Dante's love for her), along with Dante's efforts to marry Scripture with recent science of the time, paradoxes of love, questions like why God would create people who do evil, and splashes of the astronomy of the time keep you going.

I listened to this book on CD instead of actually reading it. The version that I had had an explination at the beginning of each verse to help you understand and then read the verse.

In this book, you travel with Dante as he assins to Heaven through the skies.

I really did not liked this book. There is a lot of astrology in this book (which I did not expect). I did not really understand this book (I have several people tell me that I understand the other two parts of The Divine Comedy better because I live my life more on the sinful side **laughs**). I just did not like it. I would not recommend this, though others might understand it better than me.

Just like the previous two in this Divine Comedy, this epic poem was very insightful.

I have enjoyed being able to look back on the other two and see all of the connections between the three books. Seeing the difference between the poet and the pilgrim versions of Dante was pretty cool too!

You definitely have to make sure to read this one a lot slower because it is much more dense than the other two, so be warned.

Horrible, it felt like a theology class, doesn't compare to the previous books of the series.
