My favourite short story in this anthology was Aaron Michael Ritchey's retelling of the Jack the Ripper tale with a steampunk horror twist. “Iron Angel” by Cayleigh Hickey was also an excellent read.

A fantastic collection of Steampunk worlds with a little something for everyone. Alternate history abounds with stories in the Wild West, Westerners in China, Westerners getting evicted from China, Continental Europe, and England spanning the entire gamut of characters from vampire to grifter to warrior princess with ports of call everywhere in between. As a reader just discovering Steampunk as a cross-genre storytelling medium, this is a great continuation of my introduction.
