Meh. This was surprisingly tame and vanilla for an Annabel Joseph story. I wasn't expecting too much since it's a short story, but she's my favorite author and I loved the previous two books she set in this world, so I found this one disappointing. But on the plus side, it didn't take up too much time. With the dozens of much better books she has, I wouldn't waste time on this one.
