I really enjoyed this novella. It was a sweet insta-love story between the grumpy Miami SWAT officer Quinn and sunshiny adorable web designer, comic fan and lover of baking mouthgasm brownies Spencer. Wow, their first proper meeting did not go well. Spencer ended up falling on the injured Quinn. He then went to apologise and offer Quinn some water, he ended up squirting ice cold water all over Quinn. With the help of his friend Danny, Spencer decided to try apologise again and cook a meal for him, and wow him with his amazing cooking skills. The more time they spent together, the closer they got. I loved Quinn’s overbearing and interfering Cuban family, especially his mother. I hate what Spencer went through but at least Quinn put his so called friend in his place but if he’d done that the first time he’d insulted Spencer instead of making the man coffee it probably wouldn’t have happened. I thought Quinn and Spencer were cute as hell. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the Four Kings Security Universe books. I’d recommend this novella, series and author to everyone.

This was a cute novella. It was too short for me. I wanted more of Spencer and Quinn. I really loved Quinn's family and how they were with Spencer. And really, these two are just perfect for each other. We don't really get enough of them together, and then it's over. I'm not sure if there are any more books with them in it, but I sure hope there is.

I was really enjoying this until it got to a part that made me hardcore cringe and that part killed my overall enjoyment of this novella.

oh my god this book was so good. I had all the feelings I could want from a book in this one.
Spencer and Quinn are so cute and my heart HURT for Spencer over what happened.
I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Beware of Geeks Bearing Gifts is a cute and entertaining short story featuring SWAT officer Quinn and his next-door neighbour Spencer. Who starts to care for him after Quinn is shot in the line of duty.
But Spencer is a geek, who works with computers all day, loves superheroes and doesn't have the confidence to believe someone as gorgeous and alpha as Quinn could fancy him. Yet, time spent together soon changes that even if they don't get off to the best start.
If only Quinn's large Cuban family and his SWAT teammates would give him the peace and space to show Spencer that being a geek turns this alpha on.
