I'd give this a five star but I couldn't bring myself to since the subject matter is so horrific. You know it's left a lasting impression when you continue to think about and worry about the characters long after you've finished.

Very well written and impossible to set down. Talks about some very heavy subjects, but the story will suck you in.

Pulled on my heartstrings from beginning to end.

Fantastic book. It teaches the reader the reality of some things that can happen in life and how to handle things. Just a little kindness can go a long way.

I found this book intriguing and disturbing all in one. It was intriguing because the author did an excellent job with the narrative and character development. It was disturbing because of the subject matter, sexual child abuse. This is definitely not a cheery topic or easy book to read (bad language and graphic abuse details) but the author does a fine job of telling the stories from each characters perspective.

Maybe because it was on a beach in Mexico, but I loved this book! Captivated me from the first page.

erect nipples 🤢 why include that?

What a deep and depressing plot! The title and cover of this book doesn't give a hint at all to the subject matter. There were many gasping moments. Nicely written.

WOW, this book was really good. Although the topic isn't easy to read about, it was a great book.
