This is one of the best children's books I have read in a while. Frankie is just such a delightfully fun, sweet, likeable character whose ideas and inventions never seem to go the way she plans. The book is full of laugh out loud funny scenes and quirky illustrations.
It it written as a group of interconnected short stories which makes it great for reading out loud.
This became an instant classroom favorite. The kids LOVE Frankie and want to know when there will be more books about her crazy inventions. It is fun watching them play out the stories and draw their versions Martie and Frankenclone. We've actually had a rash of baby Martie sightings lately~ I love it when a book piques their imagination!
