Again, I’ve never read any of Sarah Morgan’s festive books, but she certainly does seem to be the queen of Christmassy romance. I honestly loved this book and I’ve already got another Sarah Morgan ready to read on my shelf!

This book is set in Colorado (which i’m now desperate to visit as it sounds amazing) focussing around the whirlwind wedding of Rosie White. Her family, her older sister in particular, are a little concerned about the speed with which her relationship has progressed and much of the book is a really interesting look into the different roles within their family. Rosie’s parents are also on the brink of divorce so looking at the dynamic between them and looking deeper into their relationship and how it had evolved was also really interesting, particularly as a newlywed.

I’m general I loved all the characters in the book, I really liked the differing relationships, both romantic and familial, and I LOVED the setting. A fabulous wintery read ❄️

A little too Hallmark movie-ish for my taste. Not my thing. Lol

I love Sarah Morgan books and this was one of her backlist titles I hadn’t got to yet! It’s a romantic story, woven with family dynamics and real life stresses! Plus it’s set in snow Colorado - perfect for a festive read!

A whirlwind romance means Rosie springs a Christmas Eve wedding on her family, unaware of the issues each of them are facing. Her parents, secretly on the brink of divorce vow to keep their rift a secret and put on a romantic show for their daughter. Meanwhile, her sister, an overworked doctor dealing with a traumatic work event is pricklier and more protective than ever, resulting in some distinct animosity between her and the best man. Will there be a happily ever after, and whose?

The relationships feel very real, particularly that of the parents, Maggie and Nick. Their chemistry is really enjoyable and you find yourself rooting for them more than any other couple.

The development of the characters is fairly thin, but to be honest as long as you buy into them then you're fine when it comes to a festive romance like this. I enjoyed that the chapter POV changed, as it kept the pace going, but it does mean it takes a moment to really fall for each of the women in the book.

Whirlwind romance, fake dating and enemies to lovers all in one book!
