Went into this one quite blind I needed a book to keep my mind busy while at work. I did end up liking it. It was sweet and wintery.
We follow Maggie, a mum of 2 who wakes up to a call from her daughter in the middle of the night, she is worried about Rosie having an asthma attack but she is calling to tell the news that she is getting married. And we also have Katie the oldest daughter, and Nick the father. I liked the way everyone worked together in the story. The whole story was done well, this was my first Sarah Morgan but I'm willing to read more.
The one thing I struggled with was the narrator used the same/almost the same voices for the characters and the names of the main characters were too similar. Katie, Rosie and Maggie??? I couldn't keep them straight in my head.

Would you (or did you!) have a Christmas wedding?
I did exactly the opposite. Beach, sand, bar, sun. ☀️☀️☀️
But a Christmas wedding makes a SUPER fun story and this book is no exception. This one has been EVERYWHERE and I've been so excited to read it. And it was SUCH a delight!
This story was a really unique format that I enjoyed very much. Told from 3 POV's - a mother and her two daughters - each is struggling or questioning love. Old love, new love, or if love is even worth it!
Maggie is struggling to find the right time to tell her daughters that her and their father are divorcing. When her youngest, impulsive Rosie springs a very sudden wedding on the family and they must all travel halfway across the world to attend it on Christmas, the White family holiday is about to be completely turned upside down. Especially as we learn that Katie, her sister, is only going for the sole purpose of stopping the wedding!
A super heartwarming read. A lovely story with real and approachable characters. The perfect start to dive into the season and get into the holiday spirit!
Check out my full tour stop on the blog which includes a full review and an excerpt of the book! (link in bio)

A great holiday read that with some fun family drama and some steamy cabin scenes. Would definitely recommend for fans of Hallmark movies and holiday romance.

Another lovely Christmas story from Sarah Morgan! She’s become my go to this time of year, and this one was no exception. While Rosie was far and away my favorite of the White women, I did appreciate Maggie and Katie’s story arcs. It’s a perfect example that you can’t judge a person on a moment or a time period, because you never know what they are doing through.
I can’t wait to read more from the author, and in the meantime I’ll be dreaming of ski season, which thankfully is right around the corner!

RATING: 4 STARS
2019; HQN/Harlequin
A Wedding in December is my second novel by Morgan, the first also being a Christmas related story. I enjoy the romance, but it is the storylines with the family that make them endearing fun reads. In this story we have two sisters that are different as night and day but have been close. When the younger sister decided to get married over Christmas, the older sister swoops in to make sure her sister is making the right decision. Yet, she has a secret of her own that she has not shared with her family. Their parents who have always been together are separated but have not told them yet. They arrive arm in arm pretending they are still happily married. I am down to listen/read another book by Morgan...maybe later this year she will put out another Christmas novel.
***I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.***

I am really loving Sarah Morgan's Christmas books! I like that they're a little more substantial than the typical holiday romance books (not that there is anything wrong with the lighter, fluffier ones, because I love those, too) and appreciative the family aspects and multiple POVs. I liked all the relationships in this one, but I think the second chance romance plotline with Maggie and Nick was my favorite. I look forward to reading more of Morgan's holiday themed reads.
Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
What a brilliant Christmas story. Definitely recommend.
When Rosie contacts her family to say she is getting married in less than a month in Aspen her family think it’s too soon as she has only known her fiancé a couple of months. Will the wedding go ahead and will the family have the Christmas they deserve in Aspen.
