I'd give this 3.5 stars in reality. It was a really easy read with some fantastic character development. I loved the setting but found aspects on the characters and their inability frustrating, but mainly because it was realistic. Would definitely recommend as a winter read! Quite heart warming and had a lot of sage life advice.

Another amazing book by Sarah Morgan! A Wedding in December follows the stories of three women...Maggie and her two daughters, Rosie and Katie, during the final weeks leading up to Christmas. Rosie calls home to the UK on Thanksgiving to both inform her family of her engagement to Dan but, also, to invite them to her wedding which will take place in Colorado on Christmas Eve. Maggie, going through a separation as well as a personal life/career crises, is shaken by the news but refuses to miss her daughter's wedding day. She and her husband, Nick, have not told the girls yet about the impending divorce and so decide to fly to Colorado together and put off their news until after Rosie's special day. Katie, while also shocked at the news, is also certain that this marriage is a mistake. She flies out from the UK to Colorado determined to stop the wedding. Meanwhile, Dan's mother, Catherine - a well-known wedding planner, is working feverishly to create the perfect wedding day for Dan and Rosie.
As all three women converge on the winter wonderland that is Colorado at Christmas time, everything comes to a head. Secrets come out. The past that all three are dealing with must be faced. And the wedding day draws even nearer.
Sarah Morgan has once again created characters that are so real and genuine that you feel as if you know and understand them. Her writing invites you to the coziness of the cabins in Colorado and then enchants you with this heartwarming tale of sisters, love and family. I would definitely recommend A Wedding in December to anyone.
