I tend to dislike most YA novels where the main plot line is the romance, not for a lack of trying, so the other interesting plot lines in this book made it much more enjoyable than a lot of other chick-lit teen romances I've read recently.

However, the random background plot line of a guest at the hotel being in love with her adopted her aged uncle grossed me out. Like, sure, they're not physically related, but that doesn't make it less gross! It wasn't brought up super often though, just a background detail that bothered me.
