Another solid Body Farm Novel. Again, the forensics are top notch but aspects of the story are a bit cheesy. The subplot with his former love Isabella seems forced. Even his relationship with his grad student Miranda seems a bit fake in this book. All in all, though, I enjoyed it because of the forensics and the Knoxville backdrop.

Better than the last, but not by much.  The suspension of disbelief you must have to just accept that all of a sudden all around him, Brockton is surrounded by donation cases.
The missing limbs of a buried body coincidentally connect with a case the FBI suddenly needs Brockton's help on and is also related to Eddie's hands and is also related to a company building and designing replacement parts for people.  It was just too many things that end up being connected.
And Miranda is intolerable.  Get her out of here.

Still like these reads and I have one more that I grabbed from the library. (For a total of 3) but I don’t love them. Fun easy and cute but not stimulating or intense enough for my own tastes

Interesting. The science was awesome but the story line was a little far fetched.

This book was $3 in a local bookstore and from the title it looked like a a book I would enjoy. I wasn't fully disappointed. THe book dragged on a bit. However, it was nice to have 2 story lines intertwining in the end. It definitely made me think about how important organ donation is.

Top notch. Don't know if the biology appeals to me, or the story, the characters, or the familiarity with the Tennessee environment. This was a good one.

The Bone Thief delivered a strong dose of medical and forensic facts with a weak underlying mystery plot. 3 stars, barely.
